Should my children be a certain age for me to get the most out of this course?

This course is for parents and caregivers who want to consciously create home-based rhythms & routines that support the whole family. There is a slight lean towards younger children (9 and under) when it comes to crafts & stories.

How structured is the course?

The course is self-paced and the material can be worked through independently at any time. There are two live group coaching calls between February and April.

Is the content Christian leaning?

The content is seasonally inspired and leaves a lot of room for cultural and religious interpretation so that you can create your own family traditions rooted in your personal faith practices. That said, as my family is of Christian background, the crafts, stories and ideas I share may have a Christian/European/Pagan flare or slant (eg. Carving Pumpkins or Harvest Feasts).

Should I live in a colder climate to get the most out of this course?

Some of the Spring crafts, stories and ideas I share are based on my own experience of the season as a settler on Turtle Island (in Southern Ontario, Canada). Because of this, if you live in the Southern Hemisphere or closer to the equator, these “Spring Symbols” or references may not be entirely relatable. That said, there are plenty of open-ended resources and worksheets, leaving room for you to explore the land you are on at this time of year and come up with more authentic traditions that are better suited to your area.

Is this specifically for homeschoolers?

No it is not. Although homeschoolers are welcome to join and will gain a lot from the material, a part of the material will be about “Back to School” preparations.

Homeschoolers can still use these lists and ideas but a lot of the organizational ideas and material is catered towards families who do school drop offs and pick ups, pack lunches and school bags on a daily basis.

Is this the same content as your previous Easter and Spring Guides?mn Guides?

Some, but not all, of the content, is recycled from the old Whole Family Rhythms Spring Guide and the Whole Family Easter Guide. You may notice particular crafts, stories and recipes that you also found in those Guides. However, a majority of the content is new.

Are there scholarships available?

It is important to me that there are opportunities for all parents to do this work. In alignment with these values, there are 5 scholarship spots available for the 2023 Spring in the Home course.

My intention is that sharing these resources will create a positive ripple effect within families and communities. These scholarships are for people who experience a range of barriers as a result social systems which often discriminate based on race, ethnicity, religion, class, sexual orientation and gender identity.

Scholarship recipients are chosen on a first come first serve basis. If you are are BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, a single parent or part of an ethnic or religious minority and cannot make this commitment because of financial hardship please email me directly.
