A Journal that cultivates

self-care, gratitude, reverence and action.

Make space for your

physical, emotional, and personal well-being.

Show up for yourself.

As parents, a lot of the day-to-day effort we put in can feel invisible.

The emotional load we carry is immense.

The number of household tasks feels endless.

Our own health and well-being fall to the bottom of the list.

We neglect our own vision, needs, and desires to keep the peace and ensure everyone else’s comfort.

Self-care is hard to come by when you’re caring for a family.

When my four children were small I was their primary caregiver.

My husband worked 7 days a week and struggled with functional alcoholism in the evenings.

I felt guilty for spending any time on myself. Everything on my to-do list (caregiving, shopping, cleaning, laundry, work, family time) came before my own self-care. I poured everything into making sure everyone else in my home was taken care of while my own health was slipping to the bottom of the pile.

My energy levels started dropping. Afternoon slumps became the norm- slightly abated by caffeine and chocolate. I was anxious without really knowing why. I knew what my family values were, but didn’t make the time to consider how those values were playing out in my own life outside of raising kids. When we moved from Australia to Canada, my husband began his sobriety journey. I knew I could only begin healing from the trauma and challenges if I found a way to return home to myself.

But how?

No one else was going to give me permission to take care of myself. It finally clicked that it was my responsibility to start showing up for myself.

Return home to yourself.

INTRODUCING

The GOLDENTIME journal is designed to shift your daily life from

overwhelm into one of personal growth and transformation.

Learn how to create daily rituals that connect you to your deepest desires, values and inner workings.

GOLDENTIME is for you if:

You’re consistently overwhelmed and looking for a rhythmic balm in the form of a daily routine.

You know you have unmet needs and you don’t know how to make the shift.

Your love language is: ample time and space for quiet, planning and self-reflection.

Welcome to your GOLDENTIME Practice

Reflect

The practice begins with a seasonal reflection. Our energy levels are directly impacted by the weather, the seasons, the amount of sunlight and darkness in a day and perhaps, even the phases of the moon. When we plan our goals, intentions and habits in alignment with what is happening in the outside world, we promote inner harmony and prevent burn-out.

Reassess

Every week, we review the upcoming seven days. We reassess our priorities and reverse engineer our plans, starting from our desired big-picture goals and breaking them down into the daily actions and habits we need to develop.

Set Intentions

Every morning we set intentions, clarify goals, and cultivate a sense of gratitude before beginning the day. In the evening, we focus on reflection, service and personal support.

Find Clarity and Purpose

At the end of a seasonal cycle of GOLDENTIME journaling, you will have a greater sense of clarity and purpose. The daily practice is designed to help you prioritize what matters weekly, monthly and seasonally.

I just wanted to tell you that you’ve inspired me so much in so many ways. Most recently I am starting strength training + improving my diet for my well-being. It made me think of you and the beautiful ways you talk about it as a reverence to the self.
